The 2025 Volkswagen ID.4 electric SUV is a few inches shorter than the gas-powered VW Tiguan. A single-motor model with rear-wheel drive with 201 horsepower is limited to 206 miles of estimated driving range. Meanwhile, a 282-horsepower, single-motor rear-drive variation with the larger of two available batteries elevates the range to 291 miles. If you want more power, move up to the 335-horsepower dual-motor all-wheel-drive model, with 263 miles of range. New for 2025, all ID.4 models come with a 58.0-kilowatt battery and a 12.9-inch display. The new VW ID.4 can be fully charged with a Level 2 charging system in somewhere between 7.5 and 11.5 hours.
